It was judgement time, I went to the gym and started off by getting on the scales, and I was surprised that I hadn't gained more weight over the holiday so my starting weight this year is 77.5 kilos! (I am 168 cm tall)
I ran a 5k and did some arm and back exercises, the whole session came to about 500 calories burned! Came home and make a Mediterranean pasta dish with lots of vegetables and beans.
Some motivation for next time :)
